All you can eat sushi sued!

Hi everyone, I just had to share this one – a man is sueing an All You Can Eat Sushi buffet because he just wanted to eat the fish! When told he had to eat the rice the man responded by saying he was diabetic and couldn’t eat the rice. He was offered sashimi sushi without rice instead from the sushi menu (two orders would’ve been cheaper than the buffet price) but the customer turned it down.

To be honest, I can’t really get behind this guy. I can respect the fact that it can be hard eating out when you have diabetes, but I feel the restaurant owner put it best when he said “If you only eat the fish, I would go broke”!

Trust me,  it would be really expensive to have someone just eat the fish and leave the rice until they can’t eat anymore. Demanding $4000 in compensation after being offered a reasonable alternative seems a bit mean to me. I mean, sure the alternative wasn’t unlimited sushi, but it was reasonable for a restaurant owner that doesn’t want to lose a lot of money. I hope he doesn’t have to put it on his sign now to stop other people trying it!

I’ve actually been to the restaurant, which is called A Ca-Shi, and It happens to be one of the sushi restaurants I really enjoyed. The food was great, especially considering that it was all you can eat sushi and the chef/owner Jay is really nice. Buy him a beer and watch his face light up!   Its just off Ventura Boulevard in LA, near the CBS Studio Centre if you’re ever around there. Just make sure you’re able to eat the rice as well!
